DFW is No. 1 Real Estate Market to Watch in 2019

The real estate market has been hot, hot, hot for the last few years in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and experts predict that’s not going to stop next year.

Dallas-Fort Worth has been named the No. 1 market for overall real estate prospects in 2019 in the latest Emerging Trends in Real Estate report by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Urban Land Institute. The report examined 79 U.S. cities and credits the low cost of living, DFW’s young workforce and high business start-up activity as big factors for a successful market next year.

“As a business friendly market, the area has capitalized on the emerging trends of the last decade by focusing on disciplined development, investing in modern infrastructure, and creating spaces where people love to live, work and play,” the report reads.

Despite a few concerns raised by the report including rising interest rates, higher property insurance costs and affordable housing, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex real estate market is on pace for another strong year in 2019.
